Shirlie Roden is a professional musician, playwright and sound healer based in Arundel, Sussex. She wanted to grow her personal brand by establishing a new professional and strong online presence. We helped her create a new brand, identity, e-commerce website and mobile app.
Exploring Branding and Web Design
Shirlie is a singer/songwriter who works with the medium of sound in order to help heal and soothe people, whether they’re feeling slightly down or are in a state of suffering. The brand itself needed to be a beacon of light and hope that would connect with the people Shirlie attracted. Emphasis was placed on using friendly, but professional colours that would help to make this brand stand out.
Building the E-commerce Website
Shirlie’s e-commerce enabled website is built on WordPress, after a little bit of training she’s now able to maintain the website independently without any prior technical expertise. The site features a music player that sticks to the bottom of the screen as you scroll, a small online shop for selling her albums, an events listing system and a music library that users can listen to as well as read up on the lyrics.
Design and Development of a New Mobile App
Shirlie has a unique way of helping people and she wanted to put her knowledge into an app so that she could help more people, remotely. We developed the mobile app in-house and made sure that it retained the key elements of branding from other areas of the project. A full deck of Sound Healing cards were designed and implemented into the app (these will be printed one day, watch this space!). Each card is unique and helps people apply a solution to a problem they may be having.
